Our Opinion
The Kent Gold Gravity water purifier seems a decent appliance. But Kent offers a disclaimer that the machine cannot work properly with microbiologically unsafe water. So, it is a suitable device only if your water source has low TDS levels. In addition, it works best with RO-purified water supplied by the municipalities.

The nano-silver carbon cartridge removes foul odor and improves the water’s taste. However, maintenance issues exist, especially as the filters require replacement every three to four months. It can prove expensive. Besides, the Kent Gold Gravity water purifier is comparatively more expensive than similar models available on the market.
However, the 13L storage capacity for pure water makes it an ideal appliance for medium-sized Indian families. So, if you require a gravity water purifier, the Kent Gold Gravity model is suitable.

Design
This water purifier has an overall capacity of 20L. It has two tanks, with the bottom container having a capacity of 13L and the top tank 7L. So, this appliance can deliver a maximum of 13L pure water at any time. It is much higher than what many RO water purifiers provide.
The unique design includes an ABS food-grade plastic body that does not rust. However, water stored in plastic containers can give out a foul odor if not used regularly. The high base stand makes it convenient to collect water in a glass.
It features three filters, a) a sediment filter, b) a UF membrane filter, and c) a nano-silver carbon cartridge. So, it is a handy appliance to purify water with TDS levels of less than 250ppm.
Performance
Performance-wise, this water purifier is a decent appliance. It works well with RO-purified water. The UF membrane can trap contaminants as small as 0.1 microns. Though Kent claims that the UF membrane can trap bacteria and cysts, it issues a caveat that the appliance is not ideal for purifying microbiologically unsafe water.

The membrane is expected to last up to 4000 liters. However, much depends on the input water source quality. But, the UF membrane still requires replacement after six months.
This model has two tanks, with the upper container containing the filter cartridges and membrane. The lower tank can hold up to 13L of pure water, whereas the upper tank has a capacity of 7L.
The Kent Gold Gravity water purifier can work without electricity. So, you get pure water 24×7. But, the drawback is that you must operate the appliance manually. Kent claims this water purifier has a maximum duty cycle of 120 liters daily.
