The Inalsa Inox 1000 Food Processor is an excellent supplement to your kitchen. However, there are better appliances for preparing idli and dosa batter. Inox 1000 Plus is a better appliance for idly and dosa batter. However, this model, the Inalsa Inox 1000 Food Processor, features a blender jar for making milkshakes, lassis, and small quantities of idli dosa batter.

The vegetable slicing and grating attachments are good, and so is the atta kneading feature. The citrus juicer attachment is a valuable tool. Though it offers centrifugal juicing facilities, a dedicated juicer can perform better. Nevertheless, the Inalsa Inox 1000 can cater to your immediate juicing requirements.

The motor is sturdy and offers multiple speed options. The transparent food processing and blending jars allow convenient monitoring, but the quality could have been better. The appliance looks elegant and does not occupy much space on the kitchen counter.

The Inalsa Inox 1000 has a 1000W motor with 100% copper winding to ensure stable performance. This motor offers three different speed options plus a pulse operation mode. The motor comes encased in a plastic body that looks elegant. However, a metal or ABS plastic body would have been sturdier.

The motor performance is excellent because of its high rotational speed. Secondly, Inalsa offers three-speed options, whereas many models like the Preethi Zodiac or Usha FP 3811 offer two. But the motor is noisy. So if you are accustomed to working with noisy appliances in the kitchen, the Inalsa Inox 1000 is a good buy.

Food Processor Performance

The Inalsa Inox 1000 food processor performance is good. This appliance is excellent for slicing, grating, and shredding vegetables. The French fries cutting arrangement is innovative. The appliance has specialized blades for coarse and fine slicing. It also features a chopper attachment for chopping vegetables.

The 3.5L food processor jar has a citrus fruit juicer attachment for extracting fruit juice from oranges and sweet lime. The advantage is that the seeds do not get crushed with the pulp.

A centrifugal juicer attachment is also available, but the quality could have been better. The juicing could be better, and the seeds get mixed with the pulp. The pulp extraction is also not dry.

The kneading attachment is a good one. The machine does not take more than a minute to knead sufficient atta to cater to a small family’s requirements. The transparent jar and lid allow you to monitor the kneading activity comfortably. The lid has an opening to add more ingredients, salt, and water if necessary.

The food processor attachment has some drawbacks that users should know. First, the plastic jar needs to be sturdy. It can crack if dropped on the floor. Replacement jars are expensive. Secondly, the centrifugal juicer has a wide gap at the bottom that allows significant fruit chunks to escape the juicing process and mix with the juice that collects in the jar. Thirdly, the food ingredients get trapped in the gap below the kneading blade and the jar’s bottom resulting in wastage. Under such circumstances, it is challenging to clean.

This attachment is handy for grinding idli and dosa batter in small quantities for small-to-medium-sized Indian families. However, if your idli and dosa requirements are higher, investing in the Inalsa Inox 1000 Plus is better. Alternatively, a separate wet grinder is best.

The multi-utility jar can also dry grind your masala ingredients efficiently. The high-quality stainless-steel blades can pound challenging ingredients like turmeric and other masala items. This jar is also excellent for grinding dry fruits like cashews, almonds, and pistachios.

The advantage is that the multipurpose jar is made of Grade 304 stainless steel. Hence, it is unbreakable and durable. However, the capacity is small, making it inconvenient to prepare large quantities of idli and dosa batter. However, you can use this jar for making tomato purees and liquid coconut chutneys. Unfortunately, it is not suitable for extracting coconut milk. 

The 1.5L blender jar performs well when blending milkshakes, lassis, and other liquid food like tomato purees. It can also beat cake batter and egg whites. The jar has sturdy stainless steel blades to ensure an effective blending performance. However, the drawback is that the jar is made of plastic and easily breakable if not handled properly.

The juicing performance of the Inalsa Inox 1000 needs much improvement. The citrus juicer is a decent attachment, but the centrifugal juicer is of poor quality. Therefore, using this food processor for juicing activities is not recommended. Investing in a dedicated juicer is a better option.

Ease of cleaning

The wet and dry grinding blades are removable using the reverse end of the spatula provided in the package. Similarly, the food processing blades are also removable.
