Overview
Performance-wise, the Bosch TrueMixx Pro Mixer Grinder is a decent appliance, especially when it comes to grinding heavy-duty ingredients for idli and dosa batter. The dry grinding performance is also satisfactory, but some issues persist.
Safety-wise, this machine is excellent because of the suction feet, overload protector, and lids that fit the jars tightly to prevent spillage.
Cleaning the appliance is challenging, especially the lids, because of the grooves and the clamps. In addition, the mixer grinder makes noise because of its powerful 1000W motor.
Though the Bosch TrueMixx Mixer Grinder is excellent for wet and dry grinding, it is not the best appliance for juicing.
Nevertheless, the Bosch TrueMixx Pro is a decent mixer grinder as it performs well and matches the kitchen ambiance perfectly.

Jars – Spacious and sturdy
The stainless steel jars feature polycarbonate lids with clamps to secure them during grinding. The exciting aspect is that these lids have openings to let you add more ingredients or water without opening the locks. The locks hold the lids tight. So you do not have to hold the covers during operations.
The juicer jar features a fruit filter attachment to keep the seeds and pulp separate from the juices. This jar has a food-grade plastic lid that does not have any clamps. But you can twist the top and secure it.
All the covers have rubber gaskets to prevent leakage. We advise users to fix the gaskets properly. Otherwise, the ingredients can spill out. The jar sockets are made of ABS plastic that helps hold them firmly as the motor rotates during operations.
We have measured the jar thickness using precision tools and have found it to be 0.6mm thick. The blades are thicker, with a dimension of 1.4mm.
All the jars have firm handles allowing users to grip them comfortably without their fingers touching the jar’s body. The finger-grip shape is well thought out because it prevents the jar from slipping from their hands.
The flow-breaker in the wet grinding jar is an innovative attachment. The manufacturer tried to recreate the effect of the flow breaker present in wet grinders, but we did not find this attachment helpful. Thankfully, it is detachable. So, we prefer to use it without the extension. Secondly, the flow-breaker makes it challenging to clean the jar well.
The Blades – Efficient
Bosch offers an additional pounding blade with a uniquely blunt design and thick edges. This design enables the machine to pound dry ingredients beautifully, rendering the grinding stone effect to give your dry ground powder an authentic texture and taste.
I have found this feature to be good because it grinds chilly powder the same way my grandma used to prepare using her grinding stone. The blunt edges prevent the spices from becoming a fine powder, thus adding to the crunchiness and taste. But I prefer my grandma’s grinding stone because the slow pounding helps retain the aroma better.
The zig-zag blade in the chutney jar is a suitable attachment because it delivers excellent grinding efficiency. However, I advise you to be careful when cleaning the jar because the sharp blades can cut through your skin and cause injuries.
The other jars have two-pronged blades to ensure a decent grinding job. The juicer features a 4-prong blade and has a fruit filter attachment.
I am not satisfied with the juicer cum blender attachment because it does not perform to my expectations when I try to extract juices from fruits with less water, like guavas and apples. However, this juicer is ideal for soft fruits, like citrus fruits.
The Motor – Efficient and powerful but noisy
The motor housing is sturdy and has a durable design. The motor itself is robust with copper windings. Copper ensures better heat dissipation and performance. The 1000W motor is powerful but makes noise, mainly when functioning at its highest speed.
The motor offers three-speed options and a pulse operation when you rotate it anticlockwise. The knob is of good quality and allows smooth operation.
The motor housing has suction feet that enable the mixer grinder to grip the kitchen platform firmly. Its main job is to prevent the machine from vibrating. However, the appliance wobbled when I used the wet grinder for grinding idli batter. Maybe, it could not bear the weight. However, it is a drawback.
The motor housing has another disadvantage because of its height. It is around 25cm high. When you place the 1500ml jars, the machine’s total height is approximately 50cm. When you place the mixer grinder on the kitchen platform, having a minimum height of three feet, it becomes challenging for users to add ingredients when it is running, as the kitchen cabinets could prove an obstruction. Otherwise, there is no issue.
A good aspect of the Bosch TrueMixx Pro motor housing is the space provided at the top to fix the jars. In addition, it has a wide slot allowing you to insert your finger and clean the area. Other similar appliances, like the Preethi mixer grinder, have narrow slots.
The Performance – Good
The motor has a rating of 30 minutes. It means that you can operate the motor continuously for 30 minutes. It becomes hot after 30 minutes of continuous operations. But I advise you to run the motor for five minutes and let it rest for two minutes before operating it again. It helps to prolong the motor’s lifespan.
I have checked the rotational speed and found it between 21,000 and 23,000. This speed is excellent for delivering a decent performance.
The Bosch TrueMixx Pro mixer grinder is suitable for wet grinding idli and dosa batter. The batter comes out soft and fluffy. The small jar is excellent for grinding vada batter because it ensures a smooth paste.
Though the overall performance is good because of its high RPM speed, some of its competitors, like Sujata Dynamix, are more efficient. The blade design leaves a gap of 1cm between the blade and the bottom surface. Some food particles get stuck in this gap and remain ungrounded. But, the advantage is that the blades do not get jammed because of the gap.
The 1000ml jar does not pose this problem because the enlarged space allows for better food distribution. But the 400ml chutney jar does not deliver optimal performance. The pounding blade is good, but the results are nowhere as aromatic as grinding masala in the grinding stone.
This mixer grinder has a comparatively narrow base. Therefore, the juicer is inefficient at crushing large ice cubes or fruit pieces. But, if you cut the fruits into smaller pieces and use tiny ice cubes, the results are satisfactory.
As explained earlier, the juicer is suitable for watery fruits like watermelons, sweet lime, pomegranates, and oranges. But I have noticed that sometimes the seeds get grounded with the pulp to impart a slightly bitter taste to citrus fruit juices. Therefore, I do not recommend using this juicer for extracting coconut milk.
Safety Features – Excellent
The Bosch TrueMixx Pro ticks all the boxes in the safety aspect. For example, the overload protector prevents the motor from getting burnt. In addition, you can remove some of the load, reset the button, and restart the machine.
The suction feet grip the machine well to the kitchen platform. Though the machine wobbles slightly when running at full speed, it is not alarming. The wires are well-insulated, and the device has a shockproof body. But I advise you not to touch the machine with wet hands.
Noise – A significant drawback
While the overall functioning of this appliance is good, the noise levels are high by all standards. We measured it as around 80dB. For example, the car traffic noise when sitting inside the car is about 80dB. One reason could be the powerful 1000W motor.
Cleaning – Not very comfortable
The jars are not dishwasher safe. Secondly, the grooves on the jar lid and the clamps make it challenging to clean them. However, you can remove the rubber gaskets easily. The 1000ml and 1500ml jars are deep, requiring you to insert your hand entirely to clean them. We advise you to be careful because the blades are sharp enough to cause injuries.
The best way to clean the jars is to whip soap solution in them and rinse them with plain water. Unfortunately, the flow breaker arrangement also traps batter residue. But you can remove the flow breaker and clean it separately.
