Food processors are multipurpose kitchen appliances that can cater to various kitchen jobs. Hence, they are more expensive than conventional mixer grinders. But on the other hand, the Bajaj Food Factory FX 11 is a handy appliance that can perform simple tasks. So if you are on a low budget, the Bajaj Food Factory FX 11 is ideal.

Overview

Bajaj Food Processor unboxing

Bajaj Food Factory FX 11 600 Watts Food Processor

The Bajaj Food Factory FX 11 is the least expensive of all food processors available on the market. Hence, you cannot expect top-class performance from this appliance. But it can cater to all kitchen preparation tasks.

The atta kneading facility is one of the most exciting features of the Bajaj Food Factory FX 11. It delivers consistently better performance than other similar models.

Regarding other mixing and grinding jobs, the Bajaj Food Factory FX 11 delivers satisfactory performance without being outstanding in any activity. However, the heartening fact is that the machine can cater to almost all Indian kitchen requirements. Moreover, though the motor is comparatively less potent than its competitors, it has a good rotation speed.

Motor Performance

Bajaj Food Processor fx

The Bajaj Food Factory FX 11 is a moderately performing food processing appliance equipped with a 600W motor. Though the motor is not as powerful as in other models like Preethi Zodiac MG218 or Usha FP 3811, it can deliver a decent performance.

This 600W motor offers a high rotational speed of 18000 rpm. Three-speed options are available on this food processor, whereas some higher-end models, like Usha, have two. Besides, this appliance offers a pulse option for quick grinding or whipping cream.

The motor comes encased in a sturdy plastic body. It is connected to two operational hubs, but you can use only one at a time. The conventional mixer grinder sits at the top, whereas the food processing jar is located at a more convenient height on the appliance’s lap. The speed controls are common for both hubs.

This motor makes noise in the 85 to 90 dB range, considered customary for Indian kitchens and mixer grinder motors.

Bajaj Food Factory FX 11 – Food Processor Performance

Bajaj Food Processor acessories

The Bajaj Food Factory FX 11 is a multi-utility appliance with 13 food processor attachments to cater to multiple kitchen jobs. These attachments include a shredder, slicer, grater, and chopper. Besides, this appliance has a centrifugal juicer and blender attachment. In addition, the Bajaj Food Factory FX 11 is one of the few food processors with a coconut-scraping attachment.

The food processing jar is made of polycarbonate and has a transparent lid with a feeder tube arrangement. The feeder tube has a wide mouth, allowing you to push vegetables like carrots, potatoes, and cucumbers for slicing and grating. The citrus juicer arrangement is good as it ensures the seeds do not get crushed with the pulp.

The 1.5L polycarbonate blender jar doubles up as a wet grinder. It can work as a juicer and blender. This jar is ideal for whisking lassis and whipping buttermilk. Milkshakes come out well in this blender jar. However, we do not recommend using this jar for juicing because the seeds get crushed with the pulp to affect the taste. In addition, the pulp generation is not up to the expected standard.

Bajaj Food Processor grating

The 1.0L grinding jar can work as a wet and a dry grinder, depending on your blades. The wet grinding performance requires improvement, whereas this machine is okay for dry grinding. It can handle challenging ingredients like turmeric, dry ginger, pepper, coriander, and dry fruits.

The 0.3L chutney grinding jar is a handy tool, but the capacity is small. Contemporary food processors like Usha, Preethi Zodiac MG 218, and Inalsa offer chutney jars with bigger capacities. However, the performance is excellent. This attachment is handy for preparing coconut and groundnut chutneys.

The best feature of the Bajaj Food Factory FX 11 is its kneading attachment. On the other hand, the only drawback is that the food processor and blender jar are made of polycarbonate. Though Bajaj claims that the jars are unbreakable, it is not so. The material is weak and can crack if dropped on the floor with force.

Ease of Cleaning

The Bajaj Food Factory FX 11 is easy to assemble and disassemble. Therefore, cleaning the appliance is convenient. You can remove the blades and all attachments and clean the machine under the kitchen sink tap. However, we never recommend washing the food processor and other jars in the dishwasher because they can get damaged.

We suggest running the machine for half a minute with soap and water. It can dissolve the food particles and make the jars more comfortable to clean. A damp cloth with a drop of dish-cleaning liquid is sufficient to clean the plastic body. We recommend drying the containers and blades well before reusing them.

The blades are sharp. Hence, users must be careful when cleaning them to prevent getting injured.

Bajaj Food Factory FX 11 Safety and Durability

The food processor and blender jar are less durable than the stainless steel grinding jars. Polycarbonate jars and lids are vulnerable and prone to breakage. The stainless steel blades are robust and durable. The plastic body is sturdy and shockproof. The motor is durable to deliver a decent performance.

This food processor has safety locks to protect the food ingredients from spilling out during operation. The appliance has adequate ventilation to allow heat dissipation. The Bajaj Food Factory FX 11 has robust suction feet to firmly hold onto the kitchen platform. Overload protection is available as the machine switches off on sensing overload. Users can reduce the load and reset the switch to get the machine back on its feet.

Warranty and After-Sales

Bajaj offers a two-year warranty on the product. However, a warranty is not available for plastic parts and damage due to careless usage. On the other hand, the motor has a 5-year warranty. Hence, it proves that the motor is robust.

Bajaj has an extensive network of after-sales services throughout India. Bajaj is a reputed brand that focuses more on providing excellent customer service.

Models to compare

The Bajaj Food Factory FX 11 is priced reasonably to qualify as an excellent food processor for your kitchen. However, it might not be the best Bajaj food processor because better models like Bajaj FX-1000 DLX 1000W seem sturdier and better models with more excellent features. Other Bajaj food processor models with 600W motors include Bajaj FX7 600W.

Competitor brands include the Inalsa Food processor cum Atta kneader with 800W motor, the Preethi Zodiac MG218, and Usha FP3811.

Final Thoughts

We have tested the Bajaj Food Factory FX 11 and have found it to deliver an excellent atta kneading performance. Otherwise, the performance is okay. Other models like Preethi, Philips, Inalsa, and Usha offer much better performances. However, the Bajaj model is the least expensive. Hence, it should suit consumers looking for a budget food processor under Rs 7000.
